Behind the Lens: Celebrating a Century of Winning Images in DPA's 4th Monthly Competition.

An Apple a Day ~ Colour Print by Gillian Temple

This was an outdoor model shoot, but I felt the background wasn't appropriate, so I created this composite image with a woodland setting. I added the fog and the wolf. The model was holding an apple, but I included a branch on the tree to make it appear as though she is picking it from the tree.

We captured the main elements of the image using my Canon R5 and 24-105mm lens. GT

Parc Des Ateliers Arles - Mono print by Linda Cooper

The building in Arles showcases a striking and innovative design, characterized by its cool, twisted facade crafted from shiny stainless steel bricks that create a mesmerizing effect as they reflect light.

As viewers approach, they are drawn in by the way the facade shifts and changes with the angle of the light, creating an ever-evolving visual experience that highlights the creativity and modernity of contemporary architecture in Arles.

The image was captured using a Canon R7 & 18-150mm kit lens, f/8, 1/4000, ISO 800, focal length 40mm. Metallic Gloss paper.
