Summer is finally here..

..and this seasons activities have already started with outings to Dunfermline Glen , South Queensferry, and Edinburgh Botanic Garden, under the teams belts already .

11th May - Dunfermline Glen. After a quick coffee at the peacock cafe the team took a stroll round the glen and gardens and practiced some macro photography and took advantage of blossom abundant at this time of year.

25th May- South Queensferry. Meeting at the Forth Bridge viewpoint carpark the team took advantage of the dead calm conditions for long exposure and the area and small west end harbour before moving along the esplanade for coffee and refreshments at 30 Knots restaurant. A convenient point to move from for the sunset. The wind had picked up a little by this point and there wasn't the same flat calm reflection that we had seen earlier in the evening.

4th June - Edinburgh Botanic Garden's . This time the team met at the Halbeath park and ride to limit the number of cars travelling and minimise the parking issues at the Botanic Gardens. THe facilities are still undergoing upgrades, but much of it is already complete and the central facilities and terraced cafe are first class. After the obligatory Coffee and for some cake, the team embarked on an exploration of the Gardens and in search of the two completed alpine Glasshouses. The glorious sunshine made it a pleasure to walk around the gardens, but the associated bright light was a bit harsh and contrasty for Flower photography.

The team leader for the summer events was as ever Gillian Temple. The team make up varied slightly between events, but the following members had all participated.
