Macro photography & Exchange Evenings (practical /social evening) with KPS.

Thanks to Kirkcaldy Photographic Society (KPS) for joining us for the first of our exchange Evenings  (practical /social evening) at the Dell Farquharson Community Centre.

Ken Goodfellow gave us an in depth talk on the elements of Macro photography and showed us some of his macro images across the years using a variety of cameras and lighting setups.

For the practical session afterwards there were many setups where attendees could practice macro photography. One of the popular setups was run by run by Pete and Tina Boswell showing a variety of different insects. A number of our recent prints were on show for the KPS team.

It was a genuine pleasure to spend time speaking one-to-one with members of both Dunfermline Camera Club and Kirkcaldy Photographic Society who attended the evening. These informal conversations are at the heart of our Exchange Evenings — giving us the opportunity not only to share images and techniques, but also ideas, experiences, and plenty of photographic enthusiasm in a relaxed and friendly setting. Strengthening the connection between our clubs in this way is every bit as valuable as the practical sessions themselves.

We are already looking forward to continuing this collaboration at the next Exchange Meeting, when we will have the pleasure of being guests of Kirkcaldy Photographic Society. It promises to be another enjoyable evening of learning, creativity and friendship between our two clubs.
