DPA at the Edinburgh Festival 2026
DPA members enjoyed a lovely day out at the Edinburgh Festival, meeting first at Waverley Station for a coffee before heading towards the Royal Mile.

With the Festival in full swing, there was no shortage of photographic opportunities. The streets were alive with performers, festival characters, colourful costumes and enthusiastic crowds, providing plenty to capture as we made our way along the Royal Mile.
The dry weather was a real bonus, with just a couple of spots of rain arriving around lunchtime. Among the highlights were some impressive street performers and jugglers, whose skills certainly provided some challenging and entertaining subjects for the cameras.
After a morning of photography, we stopped for lunch and a chance to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the Festival before continuing our day.
A very pleasant outing, good company and plenty of opportunities for some different and colourful photography — a great way to spend a summer day in Edinburgh.
