The Bruce Festival once again brought history, music, performance and community spirit to the streets of Dunfermline, and despite being heavily committed to our own Centenary celebrations, Dunfermline Photographic Association was pleased to maintain a presence at the event.

Thanks to the generosity of the festival organisers, DPA was provided with a festival tent which served as a base throughout the day. Located beside the historic railway carriage and neighbouring community exhibits, it gave visitors an opportunity to meet members and learn more about the Association during our 100th Anniversary year.
While our main focus was on our Centenary exhibition and celebrations, several members spent time around the festival capturing the sights and sounds of the day. The resulting collection reflects the variety and atmosphere that make the Bruce Festival such a highlight of Dunfermline’s cultural calendar.
Photographs from members include colourful scenes from around the festival, historic re-enactments, performers, visitors and activities taking place throughout the day. Video footage captured some of the live entertainment, including performances by the Dunfermline Brass Band, both morning and afternoon jousting displays, community singers, and demonstrations within the crafts area.
As a small contribution to the organisers who kindly supported us with a festival presence, we are delighted to share this gallery of images together with a short video montage celebrating the event. We hope you enjoy this glimpse of another successful Bruce Festival and thank the organisers, participants and volunteers who helped make it such an enjoyable occasion for everyone.
